The blog's first ever Christmas is here, so it's time to announce the "Doctor Who 50 Word Reviews Christmas Schedule"!!! (fanfare) (duh-du-du-duh) All regular reviews will be shaken up to make way for an entire week of Doctor Who Christmas Special reviews. Alas, The Feast of Steven was unavailable.

Happy birthday "Doctor Who"! And here's some news for you: I'm making a commitment to reviewing more and more of the earlier 60s stories, hence today's review of "100,000BC". Here's a timetable of some of the early stories being reviewed soon.

1 December: The Abominable Snowmen
2 December: The Rescue
9 December: The Ark
tba December: tba 1st Doctor {eventually confirmed as "The Web Planet" for 15 December}
tba December: tba 2nd Doctor {coming 20 December}

Also, from now one, pictures will accompany the reviews to spice things up a bit. There'll be one or two pictures going with each review. Just thought you'd want to know.

EXTRA SERIES COMING FOR 2014

I've been busy sorting out the details for what to do in 2014 for the blog. Basically, new series. Beginning in January 2014 there will be several new series added to the blog. There will be at least two, hopefully three, but that depends on if I get everything on my Christmas list! The three series are all Doctor Who-related.

The reason for this is simple: I am running out of Big Finish Doctor Who audio stories to review. You may have noticed recently that I have been reviewing AudioGO/BBC Audio stories and Sarah Jane stories. Thanks to several Soundcloud discoveries and magazine discounts, I have a few more Big Finish Doctor Who stories to review, but soon there'll be very few Big Finish stories being reviewed.

So except 2 or 3 more series to crop up soon.I will tell you which the two definitely-happening series are on December 13, with the other series being announced on December 26, if it's going to happen.

SPECIAL REVIEWS COMING FOR 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Just a quick confirm of three special reviews coming for Doctor Who's upcoming fiftieth anniversary. On November 23, 100,000BC, the show's first ever serial, will be reviewed, followed by The Day of the Doctor, the 50th anniversary special, on November 24, and docu-drama An Adventure in Space and Time on November 25. The Five Doctors, the 20th-anniversary special, will be reviewed on November 26, and 30th-anniversary skit Dimensions in Time will be reviewed on November the Never-th.
